DR SUFIYAN MU’AWIYYAH BABALE  MBBS; PGDM; DVSP (USA); MBA IHM (Germany); FWACP (Community Health)

A highly motivated and passionate public health physician, with fifteen years working experience including work with government at federal and state levels, academia and NGOs in Nigeria. He earned a Medical degree (MBBS) and post graduate diploma from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Nigeria. He also earned a diploma in virtual strategic planning from United State, a Master in Business Administration (International Healthcare Management) degree from the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management, Germany. Dr Sufiyan is a medical doctor by training and fellow of the West African College of Physicians (faculty of Community Health). He has obtained a formal training in biostatistics, epidemiology, environmental health, formative research, health survey research methods, qualitative research methods and analysis, program evaluation, and health education/strategic health communication. Carried out quantitative, qualitative and mixed methods studies on climate change, maternal and child health, poliomyelitis, malaria, occupational health and HIV in field-based settings and have published research findings in peer-reviewed journals and presented at international forums. In addition to research skills, he have strong program management experience, including provision of technical assistance to field staff, strategic work planning, budget tracking, and ensuring submission of timely, high-quality deliverable for large-scale health programs. Dr Sufiyan has demonstrated leadership and facilitation skills, with experience designing and leading training’s in a variety of contexts especially Nigerian context. He is also someone who takes bold initiative, identifies mutually beneficial partnerships, and effectively bridges research and programmatic priorities.
